I don't know about short-term fixes, I don't really trust them. If you are serious about losing weight you need to change your lifestyle. This can be very hard, but you don't have to do it all at once, although if you can that's really great. The important thing is to make good health habits routine, so they're not hard to do any more. Try building one healthy habit into your life every one or two weeks. After a few months it should be much easier, and if you've implemented every good habit you can think of, you can try stepping up one aspect of healthy eating or exercising every two weeks.
Good luck and remember, if you do it properly it shouldn't be hard for all that long and will make you feel better in the long run.
okay dont worry every thing will be okay.....look remember to eat small portions of food get a small zip block baggie put what ever you want to eat for examples fruit chips cookies whatever ....put it in and eat it when you are done eating it thats it no more . when your hungry once in awhile try to make a smoothie or eat a lowfat yogurt (strawberry and banna is my fav.) and walk as much as you can and one big thing drink lots of water lots and lots of it because that cleans out your system and its like resetting your body to a cleaner youwalking is good jogging is great ride a bike whatever you have to do to keep your self going lying down on the couch or the bed isnt a way to loose weight. clean or something lay off the sugars alittle . i know it can be really stressful and painful at times but you are you inside is what counts cut to make your self feel good you do things to make yourself losse wieght dont worry be happy before you know it you will be a whole new you . you can do it good luck p.s try working out too. that can help !!!
The key to accomplishing any task of any sort is motivation. You have got to *want* to lose weight, and strongly enough that you will be willing to do whatever it takes to lose it (by healthy means, of course).
I have to work up the energy and the desire to walk my dog a lot more often -- she's a beagle, and due to some medical complications, she's on steroids, which makes her metabolism really slow. In other words, she has gained weight really fast, and desperately needs some exercise. In the case of the human, it's a little more difficult, because *you're* the one who has to work up the effort -- with my dog, *I'm* the one who is responsible for managing her weight, essentially.
We have a great advantage as human beings with strong mental capacities. Our tolerance of pain is vastly superb in comparison to that of an animal -- our capability to *make* ourselves do something we don't want to is also an option that is clearly not accessible to other species. We have a great gift to be able to have the mental and physical control of ourselves as we do.
So use what you have to your advantage! Fight the weight in as many ways as possible, whether you ';feel like it'; or not: exercise daily, monitor your diet closely, and help prevent the cause of much of your weight gain -- stress! How to counteract that? Well, that's one thing I'm very familiar with.
The key to working against stress is definitely self-confidence -- the trick is how to get it! For your exams, the best way to prepare is by studying in a group of people that you trust will help you do better on your exams -- people who want to be as prepared for this exam as you do. By working with other people, each of you will bring up different questions, some that might never have crossed your mind -- by finding the answers to these, you ultimately help each other out a *lot* because you each study a little differently. By studying together, you each bring your separate knowledge to the table -- if you really land a good group, your combined knowledge will set you each up for some good review sessions, and hopefully a successful grade on the exams!
In general, stress is much better managed when you're not keeping the problem to yourself. In the case of an exam, you're working on that problem with a group. In the case of a social issue (with either friends or family) it really helps to have someone to talk to. So in times of stress, don't resort to bad habits -- look for support!
So good luck! And if you ever feel discouraged, come back to a place like Yahoo Answers and ask for a little boost in motivation. I'm sure others will be happy to oblige.
Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.
