Every time I start to read it, it starts to come out like a southern drawl but they are from California! I want to avoid watching the movie so I don't copy their acting so is there any other movies or something I could watch/listen to in order to help?Performing Of Mice and Men and need help with the accent. Any advice?
At the time of the book, most men working were from the south ie; Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas. Thanks to the depression and dust bowl. They had country accents.
